Brave Enough Briefings 4.21.20

"Our work, our job, the most important gig of all, is to make a place that belongs to us, a structure composed of our own moral code. Not the code that echoes imposed cultural values, but the one that tells us on a visceral level what to do."

-Cheryl Strayed

Who we are, what we practice, what we think is that which reflects our deepest being. If we do not think, be, and live in the reflection of what our deepest being believes, then are we not lost to the truth of ourselves?

Then, our work lies in identifying that which makes our inner being sing. That which lights the fire of freedom and desire in our very soul. That reflection of us - not the reflection of the world.

The world behaves as we perceive it - so if you are not happy with what you perceive should you not look elsewhere? Don't be misguided by my words as elsewhere always points within.

We must do our best day by day to peer through the looking glass of what we desire to be - not what is.

Look ahead, look to the future, that is not to say worry about what the future holds but to live in what is to come. Live in what you'd like to be, live as you see the best version of yourself. Do not be caught up in what is, rather be caught up in all you will and can be.

Be so wrapped in feeling like the best you could ever want, already is, and be glad you are there.

You've always been. So congratulate yourself for meeting you where your soul has been waiting. In the place that reflects the truest image of yourself. Not what you've been taught, not what you've been programmed to believe, and not what others seem to be focused on.

This is where you find yourself. Beyond everything else hidden where you never want to look.

- Within.
